The rules Mu Next runs on. Playing here and creating an account means you accept them.
What this server is
Mu Next is a free, fan-run server for MU Online. We are not affiliated with Webzen and do not represent them: the game, its name and its content belong to their rights holder. This is a hobby project, and it may close at any time — by our decision or for reasons outside our control.
Your account
- The account is yours, but it lives on our server. It may not be sold, given away or transferred.
- Whatever happens under your account is your responsibility. MU stores passwords in plain text and allows at most ten characters — do not reuse a password you use anywhere else.
- You may hold more than one account, but not to get around limits on events, voting or rewards.
- Attach an email address. Without one we can neither recover your password nor prove the account is yours.
What you may not do
- Use bots, macros, auto-clickers or any program that plays for you.
- Exploit bugs in the game or the server for gain. Found one? Tell us — that earns thanks, not a ban.
- Attack the server or the site, try to reach someone else's account, or send spam and malicious links.
- Abuse other players, stir up hatred, or pose as staff.
- Trade in-game things for real money outside this site. We do not protect or refund such deals.
Penalties
We may restrict access, take back anything gained unfairly, or close an account permanently with nothing refunded. Staff decide; anything disputed can be raised through the contact form or Discord.
Purchases
The site sells Next Coin — an in-game token, not property and not currency. It is a digital service: buying it pays for access to what it unlocks in the game — VIP status and the in-game shop.
- Current prices for every package, and for what it buys, are published on the Prices page. The price is final; no fees are added on top.
- Payments are taken by payment providers on their own pages. We never receive or store card details.
- The service is delivered when the coin reaches the account — automatically once a payment clears, usually within a minute. If money left your account and coins did not arrive, tell us and we will credit them by hand.
- All payments are non-refundable — see the refund policy. Nothing is refunded when an account is closed for breaking these rules, or when the server closes. A payment disputed through a bank suspends the accounts connected to it.
- Prices and pack sizes may change. What was already credited is not recalculated.
Your progress
Characters, items and achievements exist for as long as the server does. We take backups and try hard not to lose anything, but we do not guarantee your progress and do not compensate its loss. Wipes, rollbacks and balance changes are possible; planned ones are announced beforehand.
Changes
These rules may change — when the site gains something new, for instance. Anything substantial is announced in the news and on Discord. The date of the last change is at the foot of this page.
